Hootsuite is the OG. It powered social for big agencies, big brands, and big teams. If that's you, it's a great tool. If it's just you and your phone, it's a $99/month sledgehammer for a thumbtack.
Hootsuite has approval workflows, role permissions, internal note threads, and audit logs. All useful if you have a team. If you're posting from your phone in line at the coffee shop, none of that helps. Faye Social is built for one person. The first screen says 'hi, what are we posting today?' That's the whole interface.
I used Hootsuite at my old agency job and tried it for my own account. Felt like wearing a suit to a beach. Switched to Faye Social in a day.
Priya S., 8K followersSolo creators don't need approval chains. They need someone to tell them their hook is weak before they post it. Hootsuite charges $99/month for a system designed for committees. Faye Social charges $5 for a coach designed for individuals. If you're not on a marketing team, Hootsuite is the wrong shape.
